The story of Buff Lo Dip.
Our story, short and simple. Around February 2010, I came up with idea of taking a flavor that I love and putting it in a jar for everyone to enjoy. What flavor was that ? The amazing flavor of a mildly spicy buffalo chicken wing dipped in ranch dressing.
I could not believe this wonderful combination of mouth watering flavor did not already exist in a ready to go jar. So, one Saturday morning in February of 2010, I decided everyone deserved the right to enjoy this experience with me. To my kitchen I went. I knew the flavor I wanted and determined to make it happen. I began mixing flavors and writing down the formula. This was to make sure I did not forget a single step or ingredient when duplicating the recipe later on. My very first attempt was a success. The combination of flavors created the perfectly blended taste of a mild buffalo chicken wing dipped in ranch dressing.
After about a year and a half of research, testing, sampling and some trial and error stuff, we launched Buff Lo Dip as a shelf stable product ready for the world to enjoy. Just crack open the jar and use it anyway you want. Put it on a sandwich, taco, baked potato, sloppy joe or use it as a dipping sauce. I would list everything Buff Lo Dip is good on, but it might crash the internet !
Do not be afraid of the spice level. Many people automatically think HOT when they think buffalo chicken wings. I carefully added a little spice to give it flavor and not heat. Another great thing is, we use a ranch powder mix and not the mayo based liquid ranch. That gives Buff Lo Dip a smooth delightful taste.
